Membership and Assimilation

Welcome Ministry
If you are a new visitor to our church, it is our desire to extend to you a warm gift of welcome and hospitality. We have a Visitor’s Table set up after Sunday worship where you can talk to a church member, ask questions, eat goodies, and receive a packet of information. The Visitor’s Table is in the Fellowship Hall (right behind the sanctuary).

Exploring Membership Class
Two to three times a year, we hold a 4-week “Exploring Membership Class” for those who wish to join and for those who are not sure, but want to explore the idea. In this class, you will explore the wonderful reasons to join a church, and what it means to be Presbyterian. You will discover all the different service opportunities this church has to offer. You will meet the pastors and leaders, and many others who give their time and talents to serve Christ through Valley Pres.

For dates of the next class, check out our newsletter, the Valley Voice, or contact the church office at 625-5023.

Fellowship Ministry
The mission of the Fellowship Committee is to bring our congregation together in a loving spirit of friendship, family, faith, and food. This committee meets once a month, and plans all kinds of fun events for our members and their friends. Here is a sampling of some of our events:
  • Tailgate party
  • Thanksgiving Dinner
  • Caroling with the Valley Galley
  • Valentine and Chocolate Party
  • 4th of July Party
  • Supper Clusters – groups of eight that meet monthly in people’s homes.
  • Kettle Dinners – 5 p.m. dinners on the third Sunday of the month (December – April) followed by entertainment.
Check out our newsletter, the Valley Voice, for current fellowship events.
