About Us

Mission Statement:
To make Christ known through reconciliation while communicating respect and love to all people.

The principles we will follow to accomplish this are:

• Worship that glorifies God.
• Growing our faith in love, hope and the peace of Christ.
• Caring for the children of God.
• Reaching out to the community and the world.
• Seeking an attitude of servant-hood.

Valley Presbyterian Church is a community of believers in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and redeemer of creation.

We welcome to our fellowship all who share this core belief,
and anyone who is interested in finding out why this faith is so important to us and life-changing to those who believe it, too.

No matter where you are on your faith journey, you will find food to continue your walk with God at Valley.

God is alive and active in the world, including your own life. Come explore with us how God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit are at work around and in you!

Why should you consider attending Valley Presbyterian Church?

We asked some of our members why they chose Valley Presbyterian, and here is what they told us:
Our Worship Styles/Pastors
Picture
Our Sunday worship services are "just right" - not too formal and not too casual.  The pastors are very friendly, and they deliver meaningful messages. Besides our Sunday morning worship services, we have Taize services on the first Wednesday of the month (September-April). We also hold a service in the community at La Posada twice a month. Read more about all of the services on our Worship page, and get to know our pastors and staff on the Staff page.
The Music!
Music is mentioned over and over as an important part of the VPC worship experience.  The Sanctuary Choir, week after week, provides beautiful, moving music that enhances the service in a very meaningful way.  In addition to the choir, we have a hand bell group, The Valley Ringers.  If you love to hear, or even better, be involved with music, Valley Presbyterian has something for you.  See our Music Ministry page for additional details.

Fellowship and Activities

Here at Valley Presbyterian, we take the 4th of July VERY seriously!
While we list a great many of the activities you can become involved with at Valley on this website, it is not a comprehensive list. There is so much to do here!  We have programs for adults and children, including faith formation classes, exercise classes, and gatherings just for fun.  Many of these opportunities are open to anyone, not just our members.  Please explore the various items in the Ministry tab to see some of the wonderful opportunities to engage in activities and make new friends.  Or, stop by our visitor's table or any of the other informational tables in Fellowship Hall after each Sunday service  to find out more about the ways you can get involved.
Reaching Out
Our church not only values our regularly attending members, but also our extended community.  We are a Stephen Ministry church, we have a strong Mission program, and we have a variety of programs to include those who cannot physically manage to attend services including a pastoral care program, hospital visitation, a Sunday Worship service at La Posada, and communion offerings at Silver Springs and La Posada.  More information about those programs can be found on our Ministry or Worship pages.
