The Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir is an important part of regular services and special gatherings where the purpose is communal worship of God. It aids the assembled worshipers in the singing of hymns and provides an added element of praise through introits, responses and anthems.
The sanctuary choir is blessed with approximately 70 singers under the guidance of our Director of Music, Joel Pierce. Joel accompanies the choir on our 9-foot Steinway concert grand piano as well as our Rogers Trillium 3 manual organ. The anthems performed at Sunday services reach across a variety of genres and include a mix of contemporary and classical composers. Our music is chosen to compliment the scripture so that the message becomes the experience. We rehearse on Thursday afternoons from 3:45 - 5:30 pm from September through April and every Sunday year round for a period of time before the service. If you would like more information about the Sanctuary Choir, contact director Joel Pierce.
