Stephen Ministry - Meeting the Needs of the People

In Stephen Ministry congregations, lay caregivers (Stephen Ministers) provide one-to-one Christian care to those who are experiencing a variety of life needs and circumstances. The care is provided to people in the congregation as well as others in the community. Our Stephen Ministers work together with our pastors to provide Christian care to more people than pastors only can provide.

Each of us needs the care of another person at some time. A Christian friend, a Stephen Minister, can help. Consider having a Stephen Minister even if you think your problem is too small or you think no solution exists. The following are examples of times we'd like to help:

Bereaved
Hospitalized or homebound
Caring for a family member who is ill or suffering from dementia
Terminally ill
Separating or getting divorced
Facing an emotional or spiritual crisis
Experiencing a difficult time
Lonely or discouraged

Stephen Ministers help pastors and congregations provide quality care for a long as the need exists.
