Who is a parish nurse?
A parish nurse is a licensed RN who is committed to the healing mission of the church and who participates in the parish nursing curriculum and training to accomplish that goal. The parish nurse works closely with the pastoral staff of Valley Presbyterian Church. This person serves as liaison between community resources/services and church members.
Why Parish Nursing?
Jesus, in his ministry, healed the whole person (body/mind/spirit). Our spirits, minds, and bodies are interrelated, but sometimes we need help in making the connections in our everyday lives. Our hope is to provide information and support to improve the quality of life and health for all our congregation.
What is the role of the Parish nurse?
