KYLENE NILSEN-JOPLIN She has lived in Green Valley since 1969. Prior to that she attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois and was working as a Legal Secretary. Upon arriving in Green Valley she purchased the La Esquinita Coffee Shop (now known as Dona’s Diner) and sold it in 1981. Shortly thereafter she joined First Interstate Bank where she worked until her retirement in 1996. Kylene joined First Presbyterian Church in 1999 where she became involved in the Stephen Ministry program, the Pastoral Care group, Network of Caring, the Friendship Kettle group, the Sanctuary Choir and Bell Choir. She was asked to assume the duties of Choir Librarian and robe coordinator in 2001 and continues in that position plus all of the other service and fellowship groups above. Kylene and her husband, Jimmie, are actively involved in fitness training and spend some of their spare time on the golf course. |
