Dr. Fred Fox, Organist

Dr. Fox holds a doctorate in music, is a retired university professor of music and has held organist positions in numerous churches for many years.

He has performed as solist with symphony orchestras as well as singing leading roles in opera oratorio, and music theatre.

He had master organ classes with Bruce Prince-Joesph (emeritus organist of the New York Philharmonic), widely-acclaimed organ teacher Mildred Andrews and Joan Lippincott.  Also a singer, he had master voice classes with Martial Singher, Eileen Farrell, Phyllis Curtin, Dame Eva Turner and Elizabeth Parham.

Following a 35-year career in performance, academia and arts administration, he retired to Santa Fe where he was organ soloist playing the Saint-Saens Organ Symphony with the Santa Fe Community Orchestra, and sang in a production of the Santa Fe Opera.  Fleeing the very cold winters in Santa Fe, he recently made his home in Tucson, Arizona.
