JANET FITCH

Christian Education Coordinator

 

Janet  became a member of this congregation in September of 2003. She was ordained as a Presbyterian Elder in 1971 in Hector, New York. It was in Hector that she held the position of Christian Education Director for more than 25 years.  Children were the focus of her service in that church. In 2003, Janet became the Chairperson of the Christian Education Committee at Valley Presbyterian Church. She was called to be the Assistant Educator in 2006, and the Christian EducationCoordinator in 2007.

 

MISSION  STATEMENT 

 

Our mission is to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. Guided through prayer and the Holy Spirit we use our time, talents and resources to minister with love, forgiveness and acceptance to the needs of all.

 

 The Christian Education Committee has gathered and planned for a variety of programs for 2008‑ 2009 that we most earnestly hope offer "something for everyone" - for who can truly foresee the future as a fixed certainty?  We have planned some new events and are repeating a few of the old favorites - all of which we hope contribute to our commitment to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.  In the meanwhile, it is our hope that we will address the education needs as directed by the "Mission Statement of Valley Presbyterian Church."
